Workshop Registration: Physical Literacy Through Fundamental Movements

The Physical Literacy through Fundamental Movements workshop provides participants with practical guidance, hands on experience, and information about the tools and resources that are available to help them create a positive learning environment. Throughout the workshop, participants are encouraged to discuss, interact and problem solve while participating in physical activities, reflection exercises, and group tasks. Teachers and coaches will learn how to use the presented information and resources effectively in their physical education classes and practices, helping to foster physical literacy. In addition, as an organizer you will receive 3 PHE Canada Fundamental Movement Skills resources and all workshop participants (including yourself) will have access to an online Fundamental Movement Skills video collection for one year.

The workshops are 2.5 hours long and require a minimum of 15 participants and a maximum of 30 participants. The cost of a workshop is $150, a minimal fee made possible by the financial support of Sport Canada. The included resources and video access alone are a value of over $500.  The host location must provide a large space for physical activity (e.g., a gymnasium) as well as an area for A/V equipment including a laptop, projector, screen, speakers and quick time media player.

To request a workshop, please complete the following form. Please note, workshops can only be delivered between January 9, 2012 and March 31, 2012.
